Ronald was able to travel to California
this year and spend some time with friends both old and new. Above is a
picture of Ronald and Alan Locke, founder of AROH-USA, in a rare moment
when they both were not busy fundraising or working! Some AROH-USA board members were able to meet with Ronald, discussing ongoing projects as well as plans for the future. Among the topics discussed: - Completion of construction on a permanent structure for Divine Hope school;
- Relocating
St. Paul's (to comply with government requirements for distance between
the clinic and school) and building a permanent school structure;
- Funding to provide for supplies and medicines for the Clinic
- Gathering donations of clothing and other goods for a shipping container scheduled to leave in October.
- Using solar power for both schools and clinic; and the purchase of more solar panels and lights.
Ronald
also reported that several goats were purchased as part of the Women's
Microfinance program and this strategy is proving to be highly
successful. |
