Divine Hope Primary School

Divine Hope Integrated Primary School was the first school for HIV/AIDS orphans founded by Ronald Mugabi in partnership with Alan Locke in 2003.

When Alan first met Ronald in 2003, about 40 of the children were going to school in a basic mud and wattle structure:

Alan and Ronald worked together to acquire land, put up a better temporary structure, build a toilet block and kitchen/storeroom:


Work on a new school and office were also begun:

The office has since been finished (in 2011):

However, the new school structure needed some re-design and is almost finished:
